Shahada (Faith)

The declaration of faith is the most important pillar. It states: "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." This belief is the gateway to Islam.

Salah (Prayer)

Muslims perform five obligatory prayers daily, facing the Kaaba in Mecca. These prayers serve as a direct link between the worshipper and God.

Zakat (Charity)

Compulsory charity given to the poor and needy. It purifies one's wealth and fosters a sense of community and responsibility towards others.

Sawm (Fasting)

Fasting during the holy month of Ramadan. Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset to develop self-discipline.

Hajj (Pilgrimage)

The pilgrimage to Mecca, which every Muslim who is physically and financially able must perform at least once in their lifetime.

The Six Articles of Faith (Iman)

The core beliefs every Muslim must hold in their heart.

1. Belief in Allah

Belief in the Oneness of Allah (Tawhid). He is the only Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe, worthy of all worship.

2. Belief in Angels

Belief in the existence of Angels (Mala'ikah), who are honored servants of Allah created from light to execute His commands.

3. Belief in Divine Books

Belief in the Holy Books sent by Allah to His messengers, including the Torah, Psalms, Gospel, and the final revelation, the Quran.

4. Belief in Prophets

Belief in all the Prophets and Messengers sent by Allah to guide humanity, starting with Adam (AS) and ending with Muhammad (PBUH).

5. Belief in the Last Day

Belief in the Day of Judgment (Yawm al-Qiyamah), resurrection, and accountability for one's deeds leading to literal Paradise or Hellfire.

6. Belief in Divine Decree

Belief in Al-Qadar, meaning that everything good or bad happens by the Will and Knowledge of Allah.
